Thanks to our grant from the National Lottery, much of our new kit has now arrived. See the briefing in the file below to see how we have used the grant and details of the project running to develop the club.
The club trip last month to Dartmoor allowed our more experienced coaches and paddlers to help Lottie and Jordan to progress onto more challenging water, thanks to our new boats made possible by our National Lottery grant.
Thank you to everyone who plays the National Lottery. National Lottery players raise £30m every week for good causes, funding arts, heritage, sports, voluntary and charity projects around the UK. For more information on good causes in your area go to www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk We are really grateful to the National Lottery Fund for supporting our project to increase participation and satisfy the latent demand for new membership and activities. With the help of the British Canoeing we were selected by Sport England for a grant.
The funding will allow us to increase our fleet of White Water Kayaks and add Crossover Kayaks which will also allow kayakers to take part in touring trips. We also aim to continue our investment in coaching. Jordan was first to try out one of our new boats in the pool. |
